The difference with Schaefer and Arum is that Arum is only slightly better at damage control and that is not saying much! Schaefer is outnumbered 2 to 1 and the two know their fighters better than he does and for Schaefer, they tell it like it is instead of cover hings up. Lol. The trolls in the other thread avoiding this one like the plague. This thread won't reach neat 1,000 responses like the other one. I'm starting to think people would rather the fight not happen so they can troll and call Floyd a duck.

Anyways I think there is truth to all of the stories that are coming out. It's in the early stages of negotiations and stuff shouldn't be leaking to the press. If team Canelo kept their mouth shut and stayed professional none of this BS would be going on.

My only issue is why can't people fight near their actual weight class? I dunno maybe it's just me, but it's ****** havin a dude blow up like that...then again some it doesn't matter (canelo) others it does... that 163 for Lucas was huge, Love gets a bunch of **** for his....Chavez gets **** for it. I understand it's an advantage (those saying it's not lets be honest here... if it's not an advantage why do it to begin with). Same day weigh ins would really show a lot more skill vs skill imo other than one dude dwarfing the other.

I agree I think Same Day Weigh-in is a realistic Solution instead of Catch Weights and all that other stuff

This was the first fight Canelo came in weighing over 170. For his previous fights he was around 165-169. He only came in heavier because he knows Trout is a bigger fighter and Trout also came in above 170.

That is a valid point, however Canelo's weight had actually already been increasing fight by fight. Remember that Canelo is still growing and only 22 yrs old. He's is simply not a small man by any means, it won't be too long now before he begins to struggle making 154, and on top of that he is having serious stamina issues @ 154...the point is there is a issue with the weight, where ever Canelo is right now u can be sure he's walking around at 180 while Floyd is somewhere around 150 right now..

He is getting bigger, and that is why Floyd should fight him now when he has a chance. There are no other boxers that will give him a huge payday in the near future. The closest thing to a big fight is Pacman and Martinez and we all know that is not going to happen.
