I guess that Flopkins wants a fighter with a name from Europe, because Flopkins struggling to make serious money in US. He knows that if he fights at name from Europe then there will also follow a bucket of money with him.

Flopkins? I bet you think that it's clever.

    Grow up.

Still, focusing on Froch for a second. He can't move up one weight division? Do you really feel that Bernard Hopkins is gonna have a strength advantage? B-Hop is all bones at this point. He is losing muscle mass. Saying that you want him at 170 either says that:

        A) You think that he would be much stronger than you. You, a 35 year old man.

        OR

        B) You want him weight drained and not at his best, which he already isn't at his age.

Forgetting about Hopkins, Froch could still come in at 170 himself. That's Light-Heavyweight technically. And Hopkins could come in at 175. Saying that you want him to be at the same weight as you either says A) or B). And neither is good.
        A) Strength is one of froch's main strengths, no need to reduce his advantage for the benefit of Hopkins.

        B) Hopkins suggested the catchweight which means he feels he can make the weight without being weight drained.

Froch is a supermiddle, Hopkins is a light heavy, they're gonna meet in the middle as Hopkins suggested it's all good.

This is not a good enough response, and isn't addressing the core of my points.

How does Froch's strength get reduced by simply having Hopkins come in at 175? Nothing changes about Froch. And is a 50 year old, muscle losing Hopkins really gonna be stronger because of 5 pounds? A weak, Light-Heavy to begin with.

Love the idea of this fight, even though Froch would be in major risk of getting schooled. He does his thing and is able to exert his brand of mental pressure against difficult styles..and based on some of the action in the final 1/3 of the Ward fight, I think this could be pretty interesting and not a cut and dry style advantage for Bernard. I never get tired of watching Hopkins masterpiece somebody so it's appealing on that end too. Good legacy fight for Froch; for both actually, Froch is one of the best SMW ever so Hopkins loves the meaning in that. (not looking past Kessler, I just wouldn't mind seeing this fight win/lose)

Froch said he spars with Tony Bellew regularly so he knows what a Light-heavy opponent feels like and he's not keen to move up.

Hopkins isn't a big LHW, i'd be surprised if he weighed more than a few lbs over 175 on fight night.

                    Froch is a cowardly *****.

Hopkins is a 48 year old former middleweight.

Froch is younger and naturally bigger. Stop being a ****ing baby and make the fight.
