Flopkins asked a SMW for a fight - it is not like it is a surprise for Flopkins that Froch fights at 168. Froch didn't ask Flopkins for a fight.

There is not any money in such a fight if it is placed in USA.

Carl knows good and well that he swells up to a light heavy on fight night. I'm a fan of Froch but c'mon man. Don't be asking for a catch weight. You can make LH, Hopkins can make LH...so make it happen. Its shocking to me that a dude like Carl Froch with tremendous confidence and swagger would ask for a catch weight. Must be posturing because I doubt Froch is scared to fight Hopkins. I can see Hopkins giving in to fighting in Nottingham but not to a catch weight: he's to old to play those weight draining games. Besides, I know Froch is proud of the level of comp he's faced and I'm sure he wants Hopkins on that list. He beats Hopkins at LH and he gets his ticket punched to the HOF.

Froch expressed interest in boxing Hopkins on a conference call Wednesday to discuss his super middleweight championship rematch against Mikkel Kessler on May 25 in London.
