This could be a very crucial comment Matthysse has said for his career. He's burning the bridge for a Khan fight now, but what if Khan picks up momentum again, and then Matthysse wants him, but Khan rightfully says "Well, you did not want to fight me when you had the chance". It would be Mayweather-Mosley all over again. I don't know, I just think he's shooting himself in the foot by publicly eliminating his interest in Khan.

Where did you read that he has the chance to fight Khan? There's no way Khan's people will put him in with a puncher like Matthysse if it's at all avoidable, even if Matthysse beats Peterson and Garcia.

My dislike for Matthysse keeps growing an growing I really don't like the hype around the guy and I think he's overrated. But to be fair, he dismissed Khan and called out two better fighters, including a much better fighter in Floyd Mayweather. So I can not call that ducking.

If he had said he doesn't want Khan, and calls out Zab Judah, that could have been seen as ducking.

I understand all of that and I like Matthyse, but imagine for a minute Khan saying what he just said, Khan dismissing him and talking about Mayweather etc just imagining how many "Ducking lol lmaooooo" that we would get on that thread.

Stylisticaly its bad match for lucas, khan would be running around that ring like hes being getting chased by a tiger!!! And when khan gets caught he'll try out new ufc moves hes been working on.

Kahn hasnt earned the opportunity to fight the top guy at 140. After his two losses he took on Molina and Diaz who are not even rated at 140. He should have to fight against a quality opponent to be at the top of the tournament.

Nobody is happy with him getting the top spot without earning it.
