They know he would get laid out against Matthysse and he already got laid out against Garcia. Peterson would likely stretch him out in a rematch because he is smart while Khan is just kocky and always makes the same mistakes.

Maybe Al Haymon has steered him away from Khan as GBP want to use Khan as a FMJ opponent? If you're willing to face Mike Dallas, you should be willing to face Khan.

It's almost do or die now for Matthysse's career. If he loses this fight to Peterson his stock will suffer badly, we know nowadays everyone looks at your record and being he already has 2 losses GBP will put him on the backburner if he loses again.

The guy lost against Judah and was ran close by Alexander, even though I thought he won. After Pederson clowns him on Saturday he'd be lucky to get a fight with Lee Purdy let alone Khan.

It looks to me that Matthyse is taking a swipe at how the wholle "tournament" is set up as much as a swipe at Khan. Basically he is saying the special treatment that Khan is getting being kept out of the tournament until the end is a joke especially when in real boxing terms he has lost his importance.He has a point. To get to the "Final" he has to beat 2 fighters that have already beaten Khan. If Khan had beaten both of them it would have some significance but the way the tournament is set up is a farce.
