Comments Thread For: Matthysse on Al Haymon Deal, No Interest in Khan Fight

Lucas Matthysse recently made an exclusive appearance on BoxingScene Radio and discussed a variety of topics. The Argentinean recently made a big career move and retained the services of Al Haymon who is considered to be the most influential advisor in the sport.

Those fighters under the Haymon umbrella often find themselves in big fights that come along with lucrative pay days. The track record speaks for itself and Matthysse is the newest fighter to join the Haymon stable.

Matthysse was asked if he felt signing with Haymon would produce immediate results and put him in the best position possible to land the big fights against the likes of Danny Garcia and even Floyd Mayweather.

LOL. Matthysse basically said, "**** Khan."

If Khan wins some fights to get back in the conversation, I'm sure Matthysse would change his mind. Anyone would want Mayweather first, but if that doesn't happen, Khan's one of the best options.

          "better fighters"

Ouch. Khan's stock is slowly dropping.

Better fighters? But Khan is #2 at 147!

Maybe Al Haymon has steered him away from Khan as GBP want to use Khan as a FMJ opponent? If you're willing to face Mike Dallas, you should be willing to face Khan.

Matthysse would body Khan, easy money.

After he beats Garcia, who's better than Khan in the Golden Boy stable in 140?

There's Lopez, Ortiz, and Guerrero at 147 I guess, but are any of them bigger names than Khan?

Which is why he would fight Khan if he had to. He didn't want to fight Lundy or Dallas, but those were the options he had.

Too bad they'd never let him fight Khan if he lost to Peterson.
