    Looks like unbeaten welterweight Jessie Vargas will return to the ring on August 3rd, Top Rank matchmaker Brad Goodman told Boxingscene.com on Monday morning.

    Goodman told Boxingscene.com that Vargas will likely appear on the fight card that will be headline Julio Cesar Chavez’s return to the ring. The card will likely land in Mexico City, although no venue has been announced.

        he's not much better than OK. He hasn't gotten any gift decisions or anything, but he didn't exactly win decisively over Josesito Lopez or Wale Omatoso. If Arum is smart, he'll realize this and feed him to Provodnikov to get a good win on his resume.

            I don't see how signing with Top Rank has helped Vargas, I don't see any different from him being with Mayweather Promotions so far

              This is two straight fights on regular HBO for him. He was only on a couple low key Mayweather undercard spots or ESPN before.
