I agree with you that Froch's boxing skill has always and always will be underrated. He's takes a very akward approach but boxes on the outside. He moved backwards against Kessler most of the time.

But I really think Kessler also has become a better boxer than he was before Montoya or maybe it's just my love for the man that shadows my opinion, but I don't think the last is the case.

I think the main difference between Froch of 2007-2009 to now, is that he doesn't pot shot as much as he used to. He throws combinations now, puts a lot of pressure on his opponent and has added a couple of tools to his arsenal. The straight right to the body is not a punch normally associated with Froch.

He has that stinging left jab, but I haven't seen him use it for a while, which is disappointing. I fear he thinks that the job he did on bute and Mack would mean the same ending for Kessler. I basically can't wait for this fight and I've got my points on Kessler.

As to the OP, we'll find out soon enough against Kessler how much/if any Froch has improved. I think it'll be just as close as the first, but this time Froch will just do enough to get the win (i had it 7-5 Kessler last time). I think he'll spend less time trying to hurt Kessler and more time trying to land scoring shots than last time knowing that he doesnt need a KO to win. He's also gonna be a bit more cautious towards eating punches (especially to the body) this time around.
Lol yeah Froch and coward do not belong in the same sentence. Clearly a typo. My bad!
