Even though Blocker was at the end of his career.....that really was a helluva way to burst onto the scene, baby.
I became a fan of his, right then & there.

Got the fight on VHS waiting to get transferred to DVD.
Never even saw the fight, got it from my cousin.
How is it?

It's a blowout. But, Trinidad throws such incredible-looking bombs. Awfully patient & composed for a kid in his first big fight.

Even though I didn't like Trinidad...gotta give him love for being one speed all the time and for always coming to knock his opponents head off.
The two fisted punching power of Trinidad was ever present here. Blocker didn't stand a chance.

He was Arguello-like in the way he punched, especially back then. Long-range, effortless, textbook bombs.

Yep, everything was short and hard...very relaxed. Damn I couldn't stand him.
I think it took Nard beating the tar outta him for me to appreciate him for the fighter he was.
