Isn't Rigo the one with the promoter that has no problems talking shit to him, calls him boring, and shits on his biggest win? And it's somehow Mares fault he's with Golden Boy and trying to get the fight? How about Rigo leaves his abusive promoter so the fight can get made? Rigo looks like he's the one talking behind a giant brick wall that he knows he's safe from.

Mares could pull it off if he adjusts and fights gritty like he did against Moreno.

I couldn't see Donaire do it since he's too much of a finesse fighter and normally just outskills other fighters, but he was not going to out-finesse the most technical boxing specimen in the game in Rigondeaux.

I can see Donaire beating Mares with some huge left hands, but I still think Mares' adaptive style and will to win gives Rigo more problems than Donaire did.

Rigo would school Mares so easily, it woudn't even be funny. I'd bet good money that Donaire would beat Mares, but Rigo would find it even easier. Mares is far slower and less technical than both Rigo and Donaire. But Rigo's supreme ability would make Mares look foolish.

After how Arum treated Rigo after he beat Donaire Which was like Dogcrap, i think if they even offer him half of the 3 mil they offered Donaire he'd raise hell to get that fight without a doubt. But lets be realistic if Mares gets in the ring with Rigo he is tailor made and even an easier night of Work than Donaire he gets schooled it be double schooling because Rigo already did it once in the amateurs.

Arum doesn't give a **** about him because he does not have the potential to be the next Ali, DLH, Mayweather, or Pacquaio.

Rigo is straight up boring and will never have a huge following outside of hardcore fans and a tiny Cuban minority.

Donaire had the potential of picking up where Pac left off, but Rigo has nothing going for him. His ring skills are second to none, but his personality is anything but affable and he can't speak English worth a damn.

No matter what promoter he chooses, the guy will always be the best boxer that could never transcend the sport like the greats always could.

Mares has the name, the power and the popularity.

This fight makes no business sense for GBP so they aren't going to pursue it. The only way it happens is if Mares demands it.

And Arum would probably loan Rigo to GBP because he's not one of his cash cows.

the 2 best 122 fighters are at top rank (not golden boy)

rigo only signed another contract with top rank to get donaire.

& the thread title is mares talking about what he would do 2 donaire & rigo (if you missed it)

                  Rigo ain't losing.

Mares is very good and could beat anyone else around 122-126, but Rigo is next level. Those wind up power shots that Mares likes wouldn't get near Rigo...he would get countered to death.

Like I've said, it really isn't hard to be a fan of Mares. You don't have to defend $h!t. Very refreshing in dis day and age.

why speak on fights that you know you have no chance of getting just based on the golden boy top rank crap........

would mares really be talking this much if he was signed to top rank and had to actually deal with rigo & donaire?
I doubt he beats Rigo but I think he can beat Nonito. Won't be easy at all like how it was for Rigo though.
