    Sulaiman stop lying

The bout is not the best fight for both. Canelo and Cotto will make good money, but Cotto is a faded fighter who promoters use his name for money $$$ , Cotto will benefit by getting more brain damage, which is wrong, Cotto please retire already before you get really hurt.

the only reason this sulaiman guy saids canelo-cotto is a good fight is because he gonna make a whole bunch of money if canelo has his next fight ppv and wins too.

if it was up to him he'd have canelo and chavez jr win and defend wbc titles left and right most likely against shot boxers like cotto

I think that you guys are underestimating Cotto's chances. I don't think that he wins, but Cotto is a grizzled vet. Canelo will be in for a fight.

Canelo may as well fight Sugar Shane Mosley again.

Why not fight Lara, Vanes M, or move up to 60 and take on Sergio Martinez?

Or move down and meet Floyd at a catch.

I think you and most other boxing fans are treating Alvarez like he is a proven thoroughbred when all he has proven so far is he is a nothing more than a half-miler at most. He arguably lost to Trout. He has fought nothing but over-the-hill former greats and 140-pounders prior to the Trout fight, and we all agree Cotto is past his prime but still a good fighter. Yet you guys think he is going to beat Cotto badly and possbly stop him? At best Alvarez wins another controversial decision. At worst, he get stopped by Cotto in 10 rounds after accumulating a lot of punishment and proving that he was never that good to begin with.

Cotto weighs in a super middleweight just like Canelo on fight night so I'm not sure the problem here.

Would be hilarious for Cotto to win, but I dont see it. Canelo UD

if Canelo wants to fight in September, this is the best fight for him to take. the winners of Molina-Smith and Lara-Angulo probably won't be ready to fight by that time. If he can't line up Mayweather how about he fights Cotto, then maybe Molina (assuming he wins) can rematch Lara (assuming he wins) in December for the right to fight Canelo in the spring, and if Canelo can win that fight he moves up to 160? That sounds about right.

There is something wrong when, after more than 40 professional fights and a world championship, a fighter is still taking on past-his prime former champions instead of the best competition in and around his weight class. By his 40th pro fight, Mayweather had already fought and beaten Genaro Hernandez, Corrales, Castille, Gatti, Judah, Baldomir, Oscar De La Hoya and Hatton, all of whom were either in their primes or were world champions. Alvarez has fought and beaten one quality fighter in his entire career. That does not qualify him to be listed as a great fighter or even a potential great. Rigondeaux has accomplished more in his 13-fight career than Alvarez has in more than 40 fights.

If Canelo and Mayweather doesn't happen then Canelo has other really good options.

This is a great match up- and if Cotto doesn't want to do it then Canelo vs.. Chavez Jr? Martinez (after he recovers)? Ortiz?

                      I'd watch any of those.
