lol. i like the way you put that, but it's not nearly as impressive. physical attributes had more to do with that win than skills alone. I mean let's be frank about it, can you picture marquez losing to a floyd mayweather that was 2 inches shorter than him, a lot less athletic, while having a a 3 inch reach advantage? (or is it more?) Almost forgot, Floyd would also be jumping two divisions for the first time. I'm just saying, it was an impressive performance, but let's not act like they were evenly matched. What Marquez did to Pacquiao, that was incredible. Not a single Floyd victory comes anywhere near it.

Tough to say... I give a little more credit to mayweather over corrales. For the following reasons, Marquez and Manny have fought 40+ rounds together, so they're familiar with each other styles. marquez landed a devistating shot, Mayweather disessembled Corrales.

I think largely because of the wins/draws etc in the Manny vs Juan saga, that particular win is not as impressive as Diego's destruction by Floyd.
However in terms of history, The Marquez KO of manny is more significant.

Yeah right. A one punch KO over an ATG and first ballot hall of famer compared to who? Corrales? Just no.

But when that same "career featherweight" gets great wins afterwards it's a whole different story isn't it?

Canelo fighting Lopez was a not a great matchup but he had no choice. Every one thought it would be either Ortiz or Berto taking on Canelo, not Lopez.

That knockout was pretty impressive. No one expected that to happen. No one.

Mayweather never had an opponent/win as impressive as that

Easy to answer, its not even debatable.

So how did that career FW defeat Pacquiao??? How did a blown up, old career FW KO welter Pacman???? Explain that genius.
he had more than one fight against Manny and was obviously much more accustomed to the weight.

the only part you got right, is that I'm a genius.

Canelo fighting Lopez was not a great matchup, but Floyd Marquez was? You mean to tell me Floyds only option was against a career featherweight with 2 lightweight fights, at 144 pounds? That was a great matchup?

                    • The whole of boxing sat back and said "WTF JUST HAPPENED" when Pac got KTFO.

More impressive than any Mayweather victory yes.

The fact MArquez is known to outbox Pac and PAcquiao is the man to get the knockdowns THEN Pacquiao was kicking Marquez's ass then Marquez KO'd him! crazy!
