Now the argument is that Canelo who campaigns at 154 should go to 168, (2) weight classes above anywhere he's ever competed because a Floyd fan feels that the 2 time jr middleweight champ should be allowed to duck a real jr middleweight??
Dude said to go back to the weigh ins on the day of the fight. Lol now that the heat is on Floyd that is.

Well why not??? Marquez jumped 2 divisions to fight at a CW of 144 and Floyd came in 146. Didn't bother to lose the 2 pounds either. Just paid Marquez off. Smh that also ends the thought of anyone trying to say Floyd can probably easily make 140 still. Lol yeah sure, couldn't even make 144 a couple years ago.

because they can make the scales same way jnr comes in at 190 pounds or whatever yet fights as a freaking middleweight. I don't see why you are singling out canelo here other than it being a hate thing ... you could say this about pretty much every fighter out there

Floyd ducked Cotto, Manny, Margarito, PWill those are straight facts. But Canelo duckes GGG, Martinez, Ward, Kessler and others.
As long as Canelo makes 154 at the weigh in who gives a ****. Boxers have been doing this since the beginning. Stop crying. Until They change the rules to boxers weighing in the day of the fight stop Complaining about boxers adding wait the day of the fight.

Canelo call out Martinez, and Martinez dont want to fight against Canelo. Then GGG, Ward Kessler I dont know why he ducks, are in other divitions and Canelo is very young the first big fight in his career is Trout

To an extent I agree with the thread starter. Putting Mayweather and Canelo to the side, the issue of fighters cutting weight then ballooning up on the day of the fight has been discussed in the passed. It has resulted in people suggesting that there should be a limit on the amount fighters can rehydrate, arguments for same day weigh ins etc. Broner has constantly been chastised on this sight for fighting smaller opponents, in spite of the fact that they were either champions in his division or campaigned in the same division.

That being said I think in the long run, fighters do themselves a disservice cutting weight. They pick up bad habits that prevent them from competing when they can no longer cut weight.
