and what if Sergio actually hurts Martinez and really goes after him in this fight instead of just keeping out of range when he stings him?

why doesn't fat boy just move up to 168 where he will get laid out by a guy who can punch and isn't a cherry pick? 175 would be even better since he can't control his weight and comes into the ring 20-25 lbs over 160.

People clamour for some strange rematches. Martinez beat the brakes off Chavez for 11 rounds. There was nothing close or contentious about the fight.

what the hell is a light heavyweight fighter like chavez jr. doing fighting in the middleweight division??
using diuretics to cut weight just to make weight then use marijuana to cover it up boxing is too corrupt!

Yes it definitely appears that way. At this point, Sergio Martinez' body appears to be shutting down. Who knows? Perhaps his fight with Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr. really did ruin him, cause he has not looked the same since. In the Chavez, Jr. Bout, he was at his physical and emotional peak. Since then his body has been on a steady decline; First with the knee injury, he sustained in the 12th round of his bout with JCC, Jr. From the knockdown and now his most recent injury, a broken hand he sustained, in the Murray fight which will sideline him for the remainder of the year. It's probably has more to do with his emotional state than his physical one. For example, take Duran's first fight with Leonard; After that bout, he was never the same emotionally. He had trouble focusing and getting himself prepared for fights. He also suffered a emotional let down. Ali-Frazier III is another example which comes to mind. After the biggest wins of some boxer's careers, many often have trouble maintaining and regaining that same level of focus and intensity that they once had in their previous fights.

I dislike JCCJr and I thought SM embarrassed him in the first fight, but based on the last round of that fight and the entirety of the Murray fight, I'd pick Chavez Jr by career-ending early to mid-round KO if they rematch.

I'm sure if Chavez looks good in his next fight and Martinez comes back nicely they will have talks again
