Yes, that's exactly why he went through a 12 week training camp, so he could duck him at the end of it.

The judges only had him up by two rounds...he would have lost the 3 remaining rounds and would of lost anyways...this said, he schooled Burns, outboxed him and outgunned him. Everybody is calling him a loser and a coward but most would not have endured the pain...a broken hand, you can deal with...a broken wrist...not sure!

Actually he was up 87 to 84 on all three scorecards entering the 10th if he lost the next 3 he would have gotten a draw if he would have tried getting energy in 10 n 11th gotten out the 12th with second wind he could have won the fight because he just needed one round on 2 scorecards to win

People just read the headlines and ignore the rest of the article.

They asked him did you think you were ahead and he said he felt he dominated up to the point where the fight was stopped and he couldn't continue because he hurt his wrist.

Going into the 6th round I was starting to question if Gonzalez would be able to keep the pace up for another 6 rounds. Even though Ricky wasn't landing a lot he was still applying pressure and Gonzalez was wearing down. I hadn't looked to see but I doubt Chelo had ever been 12 rounds. He has some skills but he wasn't ready for his fight. He went from fighting bums to Burns. He needed more experience and against better opposition than he had been facing.

This CUR has the LITTLE BIT of nerves he's got left(if any) to talk ****** S H IT & make himself look like an idiot!!Gotta give him that out of the the first 7 rounds Chelo got the best of Burns(he didn't win all 7 but was up),after that it was ALL Burns to point where he even pocketed Chelo's heart & made Chelo fold like a taco & B I T C H out on his stool..& then he made that cheap excuse that he hurt his wrist, but when he was talking to Burns as they were removing his gloves, his cornerman YANKED his left hand to take the glove off & Chelo didn't even flinch!!¿Wouldn't that hurt if a person has a damaged wrist? With said it ain't worth S H I T to win every single round if at the end the fighter can't take the pressure & quits!! It doesn't matter who was winning, at the end what matters is who WON!
