I think Cotto still has enough left in the tank to give Canelo a run for his money. May be Cotto's one last good one! I wanna see this go down In September!

I totally agree. Trout manhandled him physically IMO. Canelo does the same. I think he should go back down to WW if he can make it. But if the fight does happen, I would applaud Cotto for taking a tough fight.

it would be a great fight. alvarez is getting better. this is a fight that can get alvarez ready to get whoopped by mayweather. gaining experience is always a plus. if alvarez can't deal with cotto's movement and boxing skills. mayweather will give him a complete boxing lesson ass whoopping style in front of the world

            Canelo vs Mayweather Sep 2014

Canelo is a very good boxer, he´s nothing but improving fight to fight, I see him beating all 154 lbs with the exception of Lara and Golovkin comin down to 154, but the guy has very good boxing skills.

Tell me what you want but Sergio Martinez beats Quillin and Golovkin anytime, anywhere, Sergio is a beast even thou he didn´t do very good against Murray.

Canelo vs Mayweather? I see the fight with a 80% for Floyd against 20% of Canelo, He´s no match for Floyd, but if he lands a clean shot at Mayweather face like the one Mosley landed on him. Mayweather could fall.

I hope cotto doesnt bring his kid this time!! Its gonna scar him for life!!

IMO floyd purposely made cotto fight closer (even larry merchant picked on it in post fight interview) to land the showtime deal

Also if cotto cant make 147 he might aswell retire because he too short and slow (to get in and out) for 154

It's a good match for both boxers; Cotto gets his last big pay day and Canelo gets more experience and another good win on his record.

Like they say, "styles makes fights" so I wouldn't consider it as going backwards. Plus Cotto is a way bigger draw than Trout with way more top tier experience. I think it's a good fight for both, even though Cotto is going to get physically manhandled because of his smaller size. But Cotto looked real good against Floyd even though he lost. I thought he looked better than he has in years. With Canelo's defensive flaws and ability to get hit easy, it's a good matchup other than size difference.Cottos jab against Floyd looked excellent. If he can continue to do that plus bring back his left body hook for some good body work, it could be a very good fight.

Canelo fighting Cotto makes no sense. Cotto is way passed his prime. Why is Canelo getting a pass for his choice of opponents? He could fight Angulo, Lara, even Kirkland if him and GB work out their differences. I'm not a fan of Cotto but he deserves more than being a notch on someone's belt.
