Jose did punch himself out abit but burns caught him with hard shots aswell.

He was completely gassed in 8th, a smart move by burns bec if he didnt slug it out in the 7th, jose could of boxed him all night!!!

Only 1 person has mentioned this so far but there was 1 punch which changed this fight. In that 7th round Burns caught Gonzalez with an uppercut that caused an immediate and noticeable reaction in his legs. Burns couldn't take advantage of it because he was so hurt himself and just hanging on. After that Burns head cleared but Gonzalez legs never recovered.

He may have hurt his wrist (although body language didn't really suggest that in the corner) but his legs were gone. After that shot he could only through arm punches and he wasn't as evasive in defence.

He gives Puerto Ricans a bad name, so just know we dislike that dumbass as well. Burns was just better conditioned. I did not hear about a wrist injury so I won't comment on that but he did look pretty gassed at the end, but he def has a great skillset and can compete with top 10 guys for sure.

Anyone could look up My past comments, I said it, that Chelo was green & was NOT ready for this level.. Chelo had only fought tomato cans & B class fighters before & one had to see how he was going to react once he fought someone that actually fought back to win..Even thou Chelo did real good for the first 6 rounds(better than what I thought), after that he was gassed out & kept diminishing & was throwing crazy desperate swings & then Ricky pocketed his heart!! That's right, Chelo folded like a taco!! That's a cheap excuse of NOT WANTING to continue cause his hand hurt!! Chelo cured out! Props to Burns on bring it on putting pressure when he felt he was behind & got it done!!
