Frustrating fight for Ricky Burns, I think he should take an actual tune up fight then give Gonzales a rematch as he deserves it...
Well sort of I'm not one on quitters though no matter what the circumstances where If he had a broken hand I mean come on Abraham fought on with a broken jaw!
He was clearly ahead and the tides were turning I had Burns with 3-6, personally believe it was his heart that got broke and he also gassed out...
Terrible out come to a main event, Gonzales proved he has alot of potential maybe just needs a better trainer.
Chelo is training and fighting in Puerto Rico -- these tell everything...

Not much of a Khan fan, but to question his heart is pretty ******ed.

Chelo stopped Chelo, that's what happened.

I had Gonzalez with a huge lead, the only way he could lose was by KO or TKO...instead of trying to run and just crawl over the line, he quit.

          Poor, poor stuff.

              Great Fight

It was a great fight! Ricky showed why he is a world champion. There is one thing you cannot train for or against and that is the heart and will of a man who will not break. Ricky new it was the only thing he had that was superior so he used it in the seventh and also rocked Gonzalez with a hard uppercut after having taken Gonzalez's best punches.

Gonzalez lacked experience gassed himself out and I think the uppercut from Burns also helped to cut his legs off. He will learn from this but his heart may never recover, a bit like Jermaine Taylor.

Chelo looked promising up until he gassed out. I'm sure it is extremely hard to fight while injured, I don't know if Gonzalez has that type of hunger or heart to fight through and be a champion.

                That was the difference tonight.

He broke his left wrist in several pieces -- he's still looking for some of them into the ring.

No, what happened was both landed hard shots, one man made adjustments, the other man could not take the heat and that is what BURNED him. Heart, stamina, and determination actually make up the content of a true fighter, as shocking as that sounds to the newbies. One had it, one didn't. Burns never stopped pressuring and pressure breaks pipes. If a fighter doesn't have a second wind or is not given any room to breath, that is what can happen.

Well, Burns got enough credit for his grit today. Now don't write out Chelo completely, as he's talent is in the hand of the famous Puertoricans trainers...
