Are people kidding me? Oscar in 2006 at 154 is clearly better then Canelo. I'm sure Oscar would have easily ran through trout without any trouble. People forget that Trout is on the come up just like Canelo.

DLH was coming off Mayorga, looking great, at a good weight, and this was Mayweather's first fight at 154

Alvarez is younger, stronger, with good skills and Mayweather has gotten older and looked vulnerable at 154 his last fight.

Which will be tougher/the better win?

I can't believe some of the replies to this. Canelo dominated Trout, he doesn't look silly when "taking punches" even though he didn't take many during the Trout fight.

DLH is a one handed fighter. Canelo is a two handed fighter. After DLH fought MAyweather he fought Forbes and didn't look very good at all. Mayorga was not on the level of De la Hoya he couldn't get away from a jab.

Trout beat Miguel Cotto, who lost to a similar margin that Oscar did against Mayweather. I think Trout would have a chance against DLH to win.

I don't think Canelo dominated Trout at at all.

Huh? Trout doesn't have the skills to beat Oscar of 2006. Trout only beat Cotto because he was able to use his size advantage and his boxing skills combined. Also Cotto couldn't hurt Trout which played a big role. According to Trout his size played a part in his win vs Cotto and I'm glad that he was at least honest about it. Oscar in 2006 would run through Cotto, Trout and Canelo at 154.

Too bad there is simply no proof to support your claim. Oscar only fought once in 2006 and even in the ifhgt against Mayorga he took a lot of shots and was stunned several times. He picked Mayorga because he has no defense at all. There is no way Oscar has an easy time against Cotto, Trout, and Canelo. Canelo would probably beat 2006 Oscar.

Canelo CLEARLY bested Trout, unless shadowboxing is now clean, effective punching.

I agree with that. Cotto is overrated as a puncher, it took hima billion shots to stop judah
