Once Danny clears out 140, he'll definitely be top 5 P4P. He was just a bit rusty on the night and Zab had his best fight in years.

But see that's the problem. He really has no one to fight. No one above that will really give his ranking the boost he needs. He needs someone who's as good as him to win against. For instance, ff Floyd keeps winning, he stays #1. He has more options around his weightclass. Alvarez, Khan, Garcia, Matthysse, Bradley, heck even Pacquiao all keep him #1 if he beats them.

Who can Ward fight that will propel him to #1? 3-5 years from now Floyd is gone, but you better believe from 140-160 those weight classes will still be the hottest around. Someone like Canelo or Garcia will be #1. Ward will be older and probably forgotten about unless someone comes out of nowhere who's just as good as him.

What about when he was getting outboxed by Khan the entire time before he got KO'd? A good left hook is pretty much all Danny has. I like Danny don't get me wrong, but he'll be losing in the very near future.

No one has mentioned Golovkin yet. He's a decent outside bet.

Ward is already consensus Number 2. So if Floyd retires then Ward would slide up to number 1. Plus I see ALOT of rematches in Ward's future. Alot.
