Floyd is great no doubt. But there are fighters that can still give him
a fight imo.Canelo, broner,Tho they are still inexperienced.Would also
say martinez,But hes on his way down fast it seems.

There will be a BIG gap when Floyd Mayweather retires from boxing. It may (no pun intended) take years to bridge that gap after Mayweather leaves the ring for good. Hate him or love him but he is one of the main reasons why boxing is doing well financially. And in the end he is helping the American economy. There is no doubt that that's the main reason why Broner is being marketed as he is now. They want him to fill out that gap. The kid has a lot of pressure on him and a lot to prove. He's still a diamond in the rough.

Well, at least I'm thankful that I got Mayweather's fight catalogue. Same with Marquez, Hopkins and Toney. I can watch their fights endlessly and still be able to discover new details in their boxing. Rigondeaux will soon follow as he gets more exposure. Too bad he left Cuba at a late stage in his career.

The hate for Mayweather on these boards has nothing to do with his boxing. It's strictly personal and that's just laughable when they clearly don't know or have even met the guy. The same goes for the people who hate Pacquiao.

I'm just happy to have witnessed Mayweather fight. His fights are like a great movie with a great story, subtle details and great cinematography that you can watch again and again.

Believe everyone knows deep down Floyds the best, but its just his insecurity and shying away from the best fighters in their prime that makes them think otherwise...
Sucks too cuz floyd is def the best boxer of this generation and lasts , and would 9 times out of 10 beat Pacquiao, Canelo, Martinez, de la ya, marquez, mosley, cotto, margarito in their primes..but just lacked the balls/risk taking
Ironic that hes a big gambler too

Anyone remember that video where mayweather practically peed himself when margarito came up to him back in like 2006? He's great and all, but very human. He was genuinely afraid of some potential opponents.

People weren't fond of Ali, Roy Jones or Pernell Whitaker either. Hard to deny their skills though.

no he wasnt. People talk non stop about how Floyd is a horrible speaker and stutters but yet when he does it in front of Margarito then he is scared? Those same people are also the one's who said that Floyd was scared to death of Mosley when he approached him after the JMM fight and again was stuttering.

The same Mosley who had just decapitated that Margarito you are speaking of. If Floyd never fought Shane then everyone wouldve been saying Floyd was terrified but from day 1 the fight was signed, it was clear he had no fear of Shane. He wouldnt have any fear of Margarito either
