    Ceja vs McDonnell who wins?

McDonnell is lanky, looks brittle lol, he has no power but for me hes shown a lot of improvement he keeps a nice tight guard, he doesn't do anything great but hes a grafter - You can tell he just puts so much in. Hes got a good workrate, he likes to keep it long & use his reach advantage but he is also quite good inside.
There is nothing flashy or special about him, hes very average but hes well conditioned and sets a fast pace.

Ceja hits very hard & loves to go to the body. Hes a good counterpuncher.
I don't want to be too critical as he is only 20 but it shows. He is very raw, crude as hell, largely untested and his defense is horrible. Hes always leaving his chin in the air, hes wide open for right hands, he does this odd wind-up? where he uses lateral movement (dips left, right, left) and then always feints with a lazy jab - Its very predictable & anybody can see a right hand is getting shipped over it before hes finished. He is not fluid & I feel hes trying to be something hes not, you can tell hes influenced by Finito/Marquez and he looks so awkward with it. With the right guidance there is a great base. He is strong, hes a good natural counter puncher, you can not teach that type of power. I think hes raw with his technique if he brought those shots in a bit, he'd be a tremendous puncher! Maybe p4p one of the hardest in the sport.
Its not a deceptive record from fighting bums, believe me he has some serious firepower.

I think McDonnells the better pure boxer, hes more defensively responsible but Ceja has the strength & certainly a big edge in power.

I first felt McDonnell was going to get savaged but after a closed inspection of the two I feel he could get a decision here, legitimately.
Ceja definitely has a punchers chance though.

      Intriguing fight.

I can certainly see him getting rocked a few times, but Mcdonnell has improved greatly at actally using his reach and jab in the past few years, which is key for him in this one

McDonnell likes a tear up from time to time instead of using his natural abilities to get the job done which makes me think a stoppage could be on the cards. On the other hand I haven't really seen enough of Ceja to lean either way but McDonnell has all the attributes to get a UD in this one.

What I don't understand is why the *** is this fight on Primetime? Do they really expect people to pay for it? I can understand why they might put Manny's fights on Primetime but this is a joke.

Voted Ceja by KO. I think Kai Yafai would beat McDonell even at our domestic level.
