I guess John Ruiz improved after he was knocked out by Tua. Hatton and Williams deteriorated.. I wonder how that KO will effect Pacquiao, usually getting put to sleep takes something significant out of you but then this is Pacquiao and he aint no ordinary man.
Ruiz became a hug and hold and hit fighter after that KO though lol. His entire style changed for the worst.

Ruiz was still young and just a prospect though. Different from being KTFO, but properly out, when you're near the end already.

truth is, you don't come back from KTFOs... Pac is in trouble with Rios, especially given Pac's nature... he likes to brawl and go toe to toe. he wants to prove he's not done and instead of fighting defensively, he'll **** with Rios and he'll get KOed again. it's the same exact thing with RJJ
        This is the best summary.

Pacquiao is not a cutey or slick scary fighter, the guy wants to prove he is macho, he is like a Duran type. When Pacquiao gets hurt he becomes a monster, this is why when JMM dropped him the first time he backed of and didn't really go attack him because he knew that is when Pac is dangerous, Pac instead of fighting smart like in the first round he got crazy and wild and mad and was just blitzing JMM with combos.

The average fighter will fight cautious after getting dropped but Pacman is not an ordinary guy its like when Tyson said everyone has a gameplan until they get hit, well for Pacman once he gets hit or hurt he throws everything out the window that her worked with Roach in the gym and he goes back to the angry wild man style.

This fight is going to be brutal as hell. People don't know how big Rios is, just because a guy fights at 140 doesn't make him a little man. Look at Robert Guerrero he was a big guy and he used to fight at 126. The difference here is Rios is much stronger and more ferocious than Guerrero he shares the same mentality as Pacquiao they will not back down if hurt.

Pacman better box smart here or else he will be sleeping and I hate saying this because I think Pac is a good guy but his chin is worse than Roy Jones Jr. There is no way he will be able to take a punch again, he was iced cold sleeping for hours and he got dropped the first time by the same punch Marquez hit him with many times but never dropped before, that means his chin is finished its soft now.

Even Amir Khan was never out cold.

I think Pacquiao will be fine. He will fight aggressively with Rios using his in and out and side to side movement. Rios will land some good punches on him but he will take them well like he usually does. He will win all the rounds and KO Rios. If he can't do this then he should retire. Some are sure his ability to take hard punches is now gone and Rios will KO him. Maybe they are right. We just have to wait till the fight is over to know for sure.

hectari^ RJJ doesn't have a better chin than Pacquiao, but otherwise some good points. RJJ hardly ever got hit with anything, he was way too quick on his feet, the guy literally had superman speed in the ring at one stage. But his chin was never the greatest as we found out repeatedly since he slowed down and began getting hit a lot more.

It might be that Pacquiao's chin is diminished now, that KO was brutal. I guess Rios will probably land enough shots for us to find out either way, it's a decent enough opponent for a comeback fight but I would have preferred a 147 fighter. Rios never fought at that weight before which is a huge disadvantage for him.

Explain to me how a huge 140 pounder struggling to make 140 who walks around at 185 pounds going to 147 is a disadvantage?

Wouldn't that be a disadvantage for Pacquiao and an advantage for Rios, if Pac wanted an advantage he would fight him at 140 instead of 147.

Also Rios has Memo in his corner so he should be just fine.

Its like when people said Floyd was picking on Victor Ortiz, no Ortiz was a huge 140 pounder who killed himself to make weight.
