I could be wrong but off hand I think Marquez was guaranteed $8 million.

Rios made $1.25 million for Alvarado rematch and now is slated to make more then $3 million for Pacquiao fight. He is going to make a lot of money in 2013.

I never said I liked the fight. No way I order it. I just understand the business end of it. My guess is the Chinese TV rights have to be rediculous. I still cant believe Marquez would turn down 13 plus part of the PPV. I need to hear Marquez confirm that. I cant go off the word of a proven skumbag like Konz.

Said Arum, "Bradley and Marquez preferred to fight each other and they didn't really want to go to Asia. The only one that benefits from the fight being outside the U.S. is Pacquiao because an American like Bradley still has to pay taxes in the U.S., and for Marquez [he] still has to pay taxes in Mexico, where the rate is about the same as in the U.S. For Pacquiao, it's a big deal because the tax rates in the Philippines are much lower."

          this is from espn

I still dont see how they can turn down Arum and still trust him to give them a fair deal in their own fight (Marquez/Bradley). I cant see Bradley and Marquez both getting like 5 mil fighting each other.

Good for Rios. That guy's gonna have some big medical bills down the line by the looks of it.

rios has to get a healthy payday, cause if all goes well, this will be his last fight and arum at least wants to get him paid before sending him in to the brink of death

Well there was an article on bscene that said Koncz took the 13 million dollar offer to Arum to relay to Marquez, so it wasn't offered to Marquez directly, but either way I don't believe Marquez would turn that down had it been brought up to him. Not sure I believe that story.

Tim shoulda been happy they even offered him a raise from the first fight.
