Rigos win is more meaningful but his performance wasn't impressive compared to Floyds.

Nonito was a top fighter but he didn't come to fight at all, Guerrero was slow and couldn't catch Floyd but he actually tried.

Floyd threw more punches was showing everything against a weak opposition, but at least he was trying to knock the guy out.

I didn't like the guerrero fight it wasn't like a barnburner but it was still more impressive than Rigo's cautious fight agianst Donaire.

Some of you are forgetting how boring that fight was it was basically rigo with his hand up measuring Donaire and putting his lead foot forward so Donaire couldn't get in close or properly place his foot close enough, it was boring as hell, it wasn't complete. Best round was the last round and the round Nonito dropped him.

Other than that it was boring unimpressive and uneventful.

    Mayweather looked much better.

Again more meaningful win goes to Rigo cause Nonito was a top guy
More impressive less meaningful win goes to Floyd.

Both fights were uneventful, but Floyd was the least boring of the two.

I thought the Rigondeaux fight was more entertaining than Floyd/Guerrero also Floyd did not "throw everything" going for the KO he barely threw his left hand and only threw combo's a couple times. Rigondeaux was landing big shots on Donaire from round 1 to round 12 and nearly ended the show.

you found that fight boring? rigo wiped the floor with donaire. i thought it was very entertaining because it showed world class amazing boxing skill. the timing and speed and technique were phenomenal. a corrales castillo type fight is great but you cant consider yourself a real boxing fan if you can appreciate the chess match of rigo and donaire and the boxing clinic rigo put up

          Floyd...

The Rigo fight wasn't as impressive to me, and it was closer. The problem is in that Rigo is being hyped somewhat as a Floyd style stand in by HBO. The commentary was wack in that fight, and many people just blindly follow that. He took many rounds off and let Nonito get rounds with a few measly body punches that went ignored, but I saw a narrow 114-113 points victory for Rigo in that fight.

Whereas Floyd's wasn't as close, and the tactics, different looks and rhythm of Mayweather makes Rigo look practically one dimensional.

No, his arguments aren't even logical.

I made a thread detailing how I broke down the fight, here.

Some agreed with me, some didn't. Bottom line, if people complain about Floyd taking time off, then they should be all over Rigo for his inactivty.

Btw, the fact you found that Rigo fight more entertaining, even, is somewhat offputting.

Yea but Floyd did some things, that he hadnt done since lw. He fought identical to how he fought against Genero, and Diego. Floyd's performance shocked me. He barely moves, and has so much foot strength that he flew across the ring. Rigo was excellent, but what he does, is just typical, perfected slick boxer. What Floyd did, was customized, once in a lifetime type of slick. Rigo is similar to Lara or someone like that. Floyd was all over the place, and I like the way you throw a punch, and he drops down low as hell. He was very light all over. Butterfly!!!

                  Obviously Rigo.... lol

Donaire was voted "Fighter of the year", Even though he didn't really deserve it.

But still Donaire is a far more skill fighter than Guerrero. Guerrero got hit at will by Aydin and Berto. Did you check the compubox numbers? Both Aydin and Berto landed over 180 punches on him. I think Berto landed like 50% of his power punches with both eyes shut....

Everyone expected FLoyd to win, he was an 8-1 favorite.

Rigo was the underdog against Donaire. That fight was pickem fight to a lot of people.

                    ****** question.

Unlike Floyd, Rigo wasn't fighting some handpicked no hoper
