Does Cotto deserve more credit? He made Floyd look old.

Where did I say Cotto won? Floyd wasn't able to move as he usually does because of Cotto's ability to cut off the ring & use angle's to hit him. The whole premise of this thread is that because of the Cotto fight people were saying Floyd was looking old & didn't have his legs anymore. How many people did you hear speak on Floyd standing toe to toe in his last fight but he still has the legs for this fight against Robert?

running? maybe you need to see what running is, watch Cotto Margarito rounds 7 and on, that's running. back pedaling, not throwing any punches back

you don't really understand the sport, maybe you should go watch tennis?

Guerrero cut off the ring vs Floyd, Floyd slipped out when Guerrero pushed him against the ropes. Floyd just stood there when Cotto backed him up against the ropes. If you can't see the differences in Floyd's strategy then you don't know what you're watching. People said Floyd's legs were gone vs Cotto, but now you same people are saying "It was Cotto cutting off the ring"

            lol

Mayweather's amazing performance against Robert showed me just how much of a masterful job Cotto did against Mayweather. Yes Mayweather won, but look at all the doubt that was created for this fight all because of Mayweather's performance against Cotto.
He made many think Mayweather was getting old. He did an excellent job cutting down the ring & forcing Floyd to fight against the ropes & in corners. Using angle's beautifully & connecting with shots that no-one else is hitting Floyd with.

It would have been great to see Mayweather vs. Cotto right after the Hatton fight or when he was working with Emanuel Stewart.

Props to you Mr. Cotto for making another legend look mortal.
No. I always felt Floyd did bad against Cotto. Other than Cotto doing good against Floyd. Floyd was getting hit by the slowest shots ever, and this Floyd that fought Ghost, would humiliate Cotto. During the Camp for the Cotto fight, Floyd's whole team where saying how he was training too much, over doing it. They even said they wanted him to take a break from training, and they made similar comments the entire camp. I knew Floyd was overtrained, and till this day I am THE ONLY one who has been saying it. This camp, Floyd Sr was doing interviews saying how he told Floyd he doesnt need to train 8 freaking hrs a day. He needs to train, let his body rest, then spar the next day. Then he will see the results from training. Floyd barely moved his foot, and leaped across the entire ring. He barely moves his head, and ducks all the way down to his waist. His range was so impeccable, he would fly across the ring like some sort of animal I've never witnessed before in my life, then when you least expected, he would freeze almost instantly, as if when he was using footmovement, he spontaniously turned on a magnet that impulsively glued him to the ring. Floyd was in excellent shape, and he fought like he did at lw. I wanna see him do this for the rest of his career. This new Floyd makes the flatfooted toe to toe version, seem outdated. This is 2013. I like seeing the ww version of Floyd fight like this!!!

i agree, floyds reflexes were much better at 147, but Cotto has really good timing too with his jab

Cotto > Guerrero all day, every day. That's obvious. He probably weighed the same ring on fight night against both and he had fought in September prior to fighting Cotto, unlike a year and two month stint in jail before Guerrero. Haters gonna hate.
