Does Cotto deserve more credit? He made Floyd look old.

Everyone was saying Floyd doesn't have the legs anymore going into the fight again Robert. Floyd's 36 he's getting old. He was getting hit with big shots against Cotto, etc.........

Mayweather's amazing performance against Robert showed me just how much of a masterful job Cotto did against Mayweather. Yes Mayweather won, but look at all the doubt that was created for this fight all because of Mayweather's performance against Cotto.
He made many think Mayweather was getting old. He did an excellent job cutting down the ring & forcing Floyd to fight against the ropes & in corners. Using angle's beautifully & connecting with shots that no-one else is hitting Floyd with.

It would have been great to see Mayweather vs. Cotto right after the Hatton fight or when he was working with Emanuel Stewart.

Props to you Mr. Cotto for making another legend look mortal.

cotto is a strong, tough, skilled fighter, and he made floyd fight a tough fight. cotto was at a comfortable weight, and he is a great fighter, which is why he made floyd look not as good as floyd normally does. pretty simple to see. he got all the credit for putting on a good performance, and doesnt deserve any more or any less. whether floyd had an off night, or whether he was sick as he claims, cotto is still a great fighter and took it to floyd, and fought well...

Cotto is a hall of famer and a great fighter. He had a great gameplan and executed it very well against Floyd. He deserves major props for his performance.

Cotto gassed out. By the tenth round, I had it draw, but Floyd won the last two round. Credits to Cotto for a great fight. Credits to Floyd for winning those championship rounds.

Having said that, I give Floyd no credit for beating Guerrerro. That guy never had a chance and yet, was giving a golden opportunity he didn't deserve. What a waste of Floyd's last 6 opponents. A fight with Canelo, Cotto or Trout would've been more worthwhile.

Floyd fought him toe to toe and still won 9 rounds, minimum. is this thread for real?

Cotto is one of my favs and i was going for him in the floyd fight but even i could see that floyd wanted to fight a more interesting style of fight and took a lot more risks then he would normally!!!

Or it could be the fact Robert didn't belong there in the first place, especially if a shot, fat and slow Cotto did much better than him.

Cotto is a great fighter. He did an excellent job with Mayweather. Throw first and continue the aggressiveness. I also believe that Mayweather was more offensive minded in that fight. Mayweather Sr took him right back to his running defensive style.
