If Rios-Alvardo fight again its still 50/50. I do think Alvarado deserves the opportunity to make serious money but I'm ok with Rios-Manny. Besides, Alvarado is adamant about making his first defense in Denver.
you're overstating Rios' popularity. when he fought Alvarado (both times), the gate ticket sales were absolutely awful

Because Rios is more marketable and will bring in more $. Only an idiot wouldnt see that. If i'm not mistaking, Alvarado is out for the year due to a hand injury.

Mayweather lovers all over Pac's nuts. The guy got KTFO his last fight and you want him to fight better opponents than Mayweather, LOL worry about your pride and joy taking on a meaningful fight

how can you, a fan of boxing (supposedly), say the guy who LOST is the guy who deserves the fight? by your logic, Berto deserved the fight against Mayweather instead of Guerrero right, since he's the bigger name?

dude, school is in ****ing SESSION tonight

I understand and you may be correct. However consider that a fight in Macau will have a gate that's 99% there for the Asian fighter...in this case Manny. So there's the gate regardless of opponent but in a build up to the fight (keep in mind turning the focus to tv viewership)who's colorful and controversial enough to bring eyeballs to a PPV? Rios or Alvarado?

Rios and Alvarado are such in a case of Ricardo Mayorga and the late Vernon Forrest, Mayorga get to fight the big names because his more exciting to watch, Rios' style is more fan friendly than Alvarado, no wonder Pacman chooses to fight him despite a recent loss, I myself prefer Pac-Rios.

You're acting as if Pac is on a 10 fight win streak. Are you forgetting he lost 2 in a row with his last fight being brutaly KO'd? Floyd retired and his comeback fight was against a LWW that he dragged up to 144 and still cheated him at the scales yet his fans defended that as a "tuneup" bout. At least Rios is coming to **** and will even have a weight advantage on Pac come fight night.

why are you mentioning the marquez fight, which has nothing to do with Pacquiao fighting a guy coming off a loss.

are you saying Alvarado is more of a threat than Rios?

First you say both guys are the same, but when I call you out on that, you say Pacquiao just came off being KTFO, so he should fight Rios?

dude I'm schooling the **** out of you

you just said the fight is already sold because of Pacquiao, but then try making the point that Rios' popularity and style helps sell the fight?

what the hell? you can't have it both ways, either manny needs Rios to sell the fight, or he doesn't. and if he doesn't, he shouldn't be fighting Rios, he should be fighting the guy who just beat Rios
