if pac wants to fight someone coming off a L, why doesn't he fight cotto at 154?

I wished for at least the Alvarado fight too... but we got to call it as it is... even they said it.
Rios is getting picked because he's the easiest to look good against. Coming off a 2 fight losing streak kind of kills a person.... especially after that KO.
They're bringing him to China on the heals of trying to take the China boxing market. If they see a show like Pac/Rios... they're probably going to warm up to the sport a little more than another fight.
IMO.... this is a fight that Arum will use to cement Pac as a mainstay there. If they love him there after that fight... we may never see him in the States againComment

You can tell that Manny lost some of his movement and looks bulky trying to get to 147.
Manny admitted that he can't go higher. Floyd never did and actually went back to 154 against Cotto. Perhaps a few pounds short but that is how Manny has done it at 147. So what's the problem? Only Manny can do it?Comment

Please stop talking nonsense. Manny, during training camp with Margarito said I will never go above 147 again because he saw the effects it had on him. Manny, may I remind you, also had difficulty at trying to reach the WW limit.

resumes can be deceiving ....... may need to look a little deeper:
Guerrero's last 3 opponents:
Katsidis : Lost 4 of 5 last fights
Aydin: Lost his last 2 WW fights
Berto: Lost 2 of last 3 fights - was inactive prior to Guerrero and PEDs free.
Guerrero fights at WW: 2
Guerrero fights at 140: 0
