Michael Koncz, the adviser to eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao (54-5-2, 38KOs), has advised BoxingScene.com that a deal has been reach for the Filipino superstar to face the always dangerous Brandon Rios (31-1-1, 23KOs) in a welterweight contest on November 23rd at the Venetian in Macau, China. Because of the twelve hour time difference, the match will technically take place in the morning on November 24th in Macua, but the actual HBO Pay-Per-View will air at the normal start time [9EST/6PST] on Saturday night in the United States.

I like this fight in theory. It's a fun fight. But it's not a PPV fight. Like others have asked has there ever been a PPV with two guys coming off loses? This is why I am in no rush to get Canelo on PPV, because it seems once you become a PPV fighter, you never go back to HBO/Showtime.

It will be Rios! Alvarado will be too slick for Pac. Why you think Pac's team is talking Rios. They even said Rios is still an option even thought he got schooled. Team Pac knows that Rios will bring the most money and be a safer then the Alvarado. That's why Rios name is being brought by team Pac. Pac "the noble champion" looking for the loser of the two because the loser brings more money and is safer then facing the champion that won bwhahahah....Manny is a complete fraud.

I called and saw this fight coming a mile away from the hype job. I even called the fight with Marquez4 and weight it was going to be before it was even made. The pacturds exposeds once again!!!!

pretty entertaining fight, don't mind if its two opponents coming off of loses, both like to throw leather

the fact that there is a high potential for knockdowns/knockouts makes this an entertaining fight, and it puts both men's careers on the line, particularly manny's, makes it a good fight, could prolly bring in a lot of buys too if it's promoted the right way

Firstly, Americans should sit the **** quiet because this PPV show is not targetting their demography. It's the Chinese market and worldwide online PPV market Arum is breaking ground on.

Secondly, What's the upside in fighting Alvarado? We know Pac wins that one but might not be as entertaining as a fight with Rios. There's no title on the line so who cares if it's Rios or Alvarado? Both just won and lost against each other so clearly no one is still the better between the two.

Lastly, blame Floyd, Marquez, and Bradley for all refusing to fight Pacquiao. ******* are boring anyways.

Pac would be coming off a long layoff against Rios. Rios is hard to deter and keeps coming forward. On top of that we don't know how Pac will be physically and mentally after the huge KO loss. Nothing would surprise me.

Pretty much. Those who say Rios have zero chance should rethink their position.

Of course, I still got Pac winning with ease, but would not be terribly surprised if Rios puts up a challenge or even wins by KO. This will at least be an interesting watch, as I think we'll get a clear answer whether Pac is done or not.
