Plenty of people thought Ponce was too big. Remember Mares had yet to face a real 122lber. Before jumping up again to face PDL.

Man, I thought PDL was getting to him late in the fight. I was like awe damn, Mares looking worried then boom, beep, stoppage. Do you think the weight added actually helped his power??

Honestly I thought that PDL was coming on too and Mares was in danger but man- that punch was just a thing of beauty. I thought the stoppage was a lil quick but I also thought PDL was about to get hurt.

He can get his due from me. He KOed a tough guy that I though beat Broner two years or so ago. Add that to what he has already done and you have a guy that I would put in the top ten pfp. After their last two fights I think he would beat Donaire if they ever fight.

Abner Mares has stellar wins. Do you mean ko's?? Agbeko, Vic, Anselmo, Perez and PDL are are stellar wins.

Edit: The called the Perez fight a draw, but I think Mares won, clearly.

He proved me wrong so he gets his credits from me, I'm still sore about his first fight with Agbeko though. That was straight up filth and should have been DQ'd.
