Can My bwoy Abner Mares finally get his due?

All he does is win win win no matter what. But when people discuss him facing fighters (that don't want none), they act like he can't compete. A lot of guys didn't think he could beat PDL, not only did he beat him, he dropped him twice en route to a stoppage. Neither Donaire or Rigo have an easy go at this lil beast.

Great fighter that deserves p4p recognition. Hopefully he can get rigo or donaire. I'd also love to see him and Santa Cruz-that really piques my interest.

        who hasn't given him props?
he's exciting to watch and has produced a good resume
only real knock on him is the Golota-esque first fight with Agbeko
beyond that, can't diss Mares, the man comes to fight
Ponce isn't all that, but he's solid and Mares wrecked his ass

Man, I thought PDL was getting to him late in the fight. I was like awe damn, Mares looking worried then boom, beep, stoppage. Do you think the weight added actually helped his power??

The more I think about it, the more I think he could be ranked as high as #4 p4p. He is a very, very good fighter who is incredibly versatile. I think he gives Donaire and Rigo all they can handle, and maybe Mikey Garcia as well.

Mares looked to be fading. If that fight doesn't get stopped, Mares probably would have spent those last few rounds holding on to his lead. I'm sure he would have managed it though, he just finds a way.

He gets his due from me I've underestimated him twice now and hes proved me wrong though I still feel both Donaire and Rigo destroy him but no shame there.

It was a good performance he boxed well and showed some very good counterpunching ability.
I actually felt Ponce had got himself back in the fight he made a mistake and paid the price.
