Ok, Shane wasn't coming off the best win of his career. He was coming off a Margarito win yes, but he was also turning 40 lol. Pacquiao was the fight then as it was when he fought Ortiz. Cotto, ok that was probably the best option considering Pacquiao was fighting Bradley. You also left out the fact he chose JMM instead of Margarito or Cotto then. But Guerrero? If it was a tune up for a big fight to come, ok but that doesn't seem like the case.

That was arguably Shane's most impressive win to date, period. And what has Margarito done to get in the same ring as Floyd? Cotto has said time and time again that he didn't want the Floyd fight when he was with top rank. And please stop with your Pacquiao filled agenda. Both Floyd and Manny made that a difficult task, but of course you see it one sided and not objectively.

I hate when Floyd plays the victim. What does he mean "they'd come up with another opponent", "they're going to keep making opponents"? Who's "they"? GBP is the one whose putting their fighters in great positions and then hyping them up as the one to fight/beat Floyd. Sure he's not talking about the fans cuz they continue to purchase tickets/PPVs regardless of who he fights. It's not like Floyd can fight himself, can he?

I don't think he's the most articulate guy, however, I understand what he means. He's saying that people are basically waiting for him to lose, and its not about them wanting to see him fight. They will always come up with someone until he loses to say "see he wasn't that good to begin with."Also, he's basically saying he's worked hard to be on top and Canelo needs to earn his dues like did. By fighting Floyd, canelo is taking a short cut to the top. The only known challenge he's fought so far is trout.

I want to see the fight also, but I feel Ginger is not proven and, like Floyd said, he won't get credit. With that said, I hope Floyd doesn't go and fight some washed up fighter or someone who also hasn't done enough to earn a shot. His choices are slim, but he needs to understand that being in the sport so long means there is a generation who wasn't around to see his challenges, and in order to be relevant he has to face their generation of fighters. I was around from the beginning of his career, so I know what the environment was like surrounding his bouts and all the so-called expert picking against him, and who is opponents were at the time he's faced them.

Everyone was dogging that fight that it made the Guerrero fight palpable.

Floyd needs to quit with the excuses. He is asking people to pay their hard earned money to watch him fight. They should expect him to give the fans the best match ups.

Floyd refused to sign the contract and evaded the question when put to him post-fight.

I'm not saying it isn't happening but the signs are not good.

When has Floyd ever signed a contract to fight someone when he hasn't even fought the guy that he's already signed to fight? You're basically upset with the fact that Floyd isn't doing what you want him to do.

Did you see how awful margarito looked in that fight? he was clearly suffering the ill effects of the cotto fight which clearly showed. If baldomir deserved a floyd fight so did margarito. At no point in their careers was baldomir better than margarito.
