Before all the supposed Floyd ducking Cotto talk.....Cotto ducked Floyd in 2005-2006, well at least Top Rank blocked that fight, facts.

Margarito is legit, Floyd could have fought Margarito. But in the grand scheme of things......that really doesn't mean much.
Do you have evidence of Cotto ducking Floyd?... I got evidence of Floyd ducking a prime Cotto... enjoy

His defense is second to none in the history of the sport, but unlike other defensive fighters, he also has a strong offense to go with that defense that also creates offense! Of u know boxing u know what I'm talking about! I just don't see any of those guys beating floyd, not even a middle weight Canelo! And I feel like we got robbed from seeing Floyd do to pac what Marquez did to him! Cause he hit pack with floyd's money punch! THE RIGHT HAND!
Great comment, i agree with you 100% but these haters just can't accept Floyd is a living legend!

Why pay $69.99 to watch something you already know the out come to.

Floyd did want a Cotto fight when he was at 140lbs. But once Cotto became a bigger name and Floyd went on his own, I found it odd that Floyd wouldn't bring up in interviews that Arum offered Floyd the Cotto and Margarito fights and but went on to fight Baldomir & De La Hoya for the money. Instead, Floyd at that point seemed as if he was ducking Cotto by saying "He needed his own fan base", "Needed to be his own CEO", etc.

For all we know, Floyd probably did want to fight all of these guys, but he's proven he's not the most articulate and or engaging guy when trying to interview him about specific ****.

It's a tough spot for him. On one hand, I say do it now while he's still sharp and in a boxing mindset. This way Canelo doesn't have time to develop more and fix some of those glaring flaws in his game. And also Floyd's not getting any younger so the timing might be better for the fight right now.

On the other hand, if he's scheduled for 6 fights as part of his deal with Showtime, I can see them letting the fight build and going through with it next year as his third fight. I know the fans are crying for it now, but if both fighters comes out again this year with impressive, dominant wins, the fight will be even bigger.

I say Canelo should fight another big opponent and make an even bigger name for himself. The demand for that fight would be crazy. But who at 154 could he fight that would give him that popularity? The Trout win was impressive no doubt, but he needs a real big statement fight. I don't want to see Cotto. That's more of a money fight and a fight I believe he'll win easy.

                What you guys think?

Personally I didn't buy it, as good of a fight I thought it was initially, but the casuals are something else man. Us the hardcore fans, we're just a fraction of the PPV buyers, a very small fraction. This is why Arum got away with feeding us shit.
