Again i'm not hating, i'm just questioning how is that even possible. How many fighters been at 147 for years? Guerrero waltz's along and gets a shot?

Ortiz: Fought Lamont at light welterweight, beats berto at welterweight fights floyd.

Guerrero: fought mostly at lightweight...Had two fights at welterweight..fights Floyd

Khan: Back to back loses at 140, ranked #2, barely beat his most recent opponent..mentioned for Floyd.

Is this what we have to look forward to in the next 5 fights? I think Floyd has a hell of a lot of talent and a heck of a lot left in the tank but can we please see him fight someone who has been at 147 or 154 longer than 14 months again? I just can't justify paying money to watch him fight guys with two average fights in a division. I'd much rather watch him fight an actual welterweight one with actual extended experience in the division. Just my two cents, others are welcome to disagree.
    I wonder who'd that be.

Once the Canelo fight is signed and Floyd schools the ginger everyone will be saying how Canelo was green, inexperienced and had a weak resume.

This is NSB, I've been observing this **** for the past 7 years.

When I first joined these boards Floyd apparently would never fight someone as quick and athletic as Zab Judah.

Mayweather will forever be known for cherry-picking slow-footed, end-of-career, boxers who posed no real threat to him in the last 10 years of his career. Where are the fights with Margarito, Pacuiao, Marinez, Murray,
Golovnik? He's afraid to face real fighters...

Yeah, Mayweather vs Murray was the fight on everyone's mind.

            Good post.

I just believe that Floyd should not have to go chasing anybody to validate his status. He is the top fighter and if you want him....go get him. Tell Canelo to drop and challenge him. He is already, by boxing standards, a small WW. He walks around at 150. He could really be a JW. Im actually glad to watch history and enjoy an ATG. He will be gone and we will miss him soon. Nobody for me to enjoy and nobody for everyone else to HATE!!!!

I do agree with you. Floyd's inner driving motivation is to have a highest revenue bout with an opponent he surely knows he would beat. All his fights are motivated by this. Canelo is a nice and clever project of Golden Boy, before the fight with Traut he valued close to 2-3 mil., now he is worth over 10 mils. Floyd will choose the opponent who will bring more money to the bout.
Example: there were no reasonable logic to have Matweather vs Marquez, because of huge disparity in weight. Actually Floyd did not made the weight, and came in 4 pound beyond the threshold. The world of boxing was quite suprised to learn that the bout contract was amended few days before the fight to accomodate the excess of weight of Mayweather. There was no way Marquez could win, but it was commercialized as superfight, and brought in huge money. Marquez did not intend to win, all he had to do was go a distance.

If Floyd jr gonna fight only those BOXERS under Golden Boy Promo, then its unfair, cos there are some fighters under Top Rank Promo, that are included inside the top ten P4P.

He should consider co promoting his fights with other Boxing Promo to get the best fight among the Champs inside the top ten P4P
