i just need to see manny come back, have his chin tested and get a win. then we can start talking about mayweather/pacquiao again. i thought he lost the first 3 fights to marquez and still wanted to see him fight floyd. so if he can come back from the KO, then of course I still want to see it.

Floyd is more defensive than JMM which will also give him a better chance to not get hit by anything significant from Manny like Marquez, but landing at will when he sees an opening which Manny makes often. Ain't about just throwing punches but more making them count when you throw them.

That fight isn't going to happen so stop it. After seeing last night's action, they know Manny will get wrecked. Bob Arum isn't going to work with GBP. Period. Admit it and accept it. I think Rigo beats all of GBP's 122-126 pounders

"Floyd is a counter-puncher, but a much different counter puncher than Marquez," Roach said in an interview with Boxing Talk. "I think Marquez takes many more chances than Floyd."
"Floyd is a tough opponent, but I wouldn't compare him to Marquez because he fights nothing like Marquez," he added.
Mayweather is known for being an excellent defensive fighter, able to neutralize his foes' attacks with his footwork and speed.
Roach says that Mayweather has some "bad habits" that can be exploited by his fighter, Filipino boxing champion Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao.
"I think we can take advantage of those habits. He does have some bad habits that can be exposed," Roach said, adding that Mayweather has trouble with speedy southpaws like Pacquiao.

Posted at 12/09/2011 7:14 PM | Updated as of 12/10/2011 6:06 PMMANILA, Philippines – Boxing coach Freddie Roach admitted that that Floyd Mayweather Jr. will pose strategic problems against Manny Pacquiao.
Roach said in Boxingscene.com that the controversial Mayweather has some similarities with Juan Manuel Marquez.
"He is a good counter-puncher and his style does give us trouble. He does have some Marquez similarities but he's actually a lot faster than Marquez so he does pose a bigger problem," he said.
Roach said Pacquiao would need to use every trick in the book to beat Mayweather. "I think Mayweather will bring out the best in Manny,” he said.
Negotiations are now reportedly taking place for the Pacquiao-Mayweather superfight.
Pacquiao said negotiators are just ironing out the minor details for the fight, which could occur in May 2012.

Manny won 3 times and in them 3fights did he put on a dominant performance against JMM? NO... and those are the facts. How am I a Pacquiao hater when everything I am stating actually came out of his mouth or actually happened? You're just a hurt fan.
Alternatively, I am not suspending my understanding of math or logic and automatically now think it is an accomplishment to finally pass a test 1 out of 4 tries. ie...Finally Marquez was able to win 1, he should be able to, after all very few boxers get a 4 tries to figure their opponent out.

Sports does not work that way. Just because a defensive team like Spurs can shut out an offensive team like the Warriors, doesn't mean they can shut out other offensive teams like the Heat. We have seen this play out in boxing and across all sports over and over and over again.

So would it be better for me to say the reason why is because I said so or just point out what the man said that makes me believe he doesn't want the fight? We all have opinions but if the man or person himself is iffy about it then why not emphasize on it? That makes the argument stronger and everything I said and quoted came from them followed up with my thoughts, opinion and out look of the situation(s). How can you tell me I'm wrong or a hater for them? What does that make you? Manny got the nod two out of 3 times with the first being a draw which should have went to Manny but technically Manny has NEVER had a dominant performance over JMM. Sure he won on paper which counts in the books but regarding their rivalry... Marquez is considered to have the most significant win of the two and that being the KO in the 4th fight.
