I can see Floyd wanting to stay at 147 but I can also see Floyd wanting stay at 147. Whats crasy is Floyds been at 147 since 06/07. You would think his body is aching to move up yet he still comes in under 147.
He was a small welterweight then u idiot... The man fights guys who wak around 20 pound heavier then him...I bet he weighs less than 152 tonight . Wanna bet some points

Beating Trout , barely, make him an elite fighter, What are we, 13 years old kids? Floyd will make canelo look like a child, see Rigondeaux-Donaire, the kids is just looks...

Canelo's too big, but hatton and marquez were just the right size

If Floyd is too small for 154, why doesn't he give his belt back to Cotto. Why is he still allowing himself to be ranked if he's champion in a division where everybody is "too big" aww

172 on fight night was a bit ridiculous, at that weight he should be going after Andre Ward or Froch lol but I don't think he is "TOO BIG" wasn't Victor Ortiz close to Super Middleweight at fight night as well?

Fighters really shouldn't be hydrating that damn much to be honest especially not in just 24 Hours

It all depends on how Mayweather looks tonight though, if he looks sharp I don't think Canelo or GBP jumps in with him September, they probably wait one more year and try to get him May 3rd 2014...GBP and Oscar made it very clear that they are trying to catch Mayweather when he is OLD

JMM was the same weight fighting Floyd as what he was KOing Manny .

There is nothing but a pound or 2 between them in natural size starting from their 130 days , even today Floyd weighed in at 146 , a pound lighter than Manny did and you cry foul , thats a fanboy joke .

Floyd toyed with JMM and Manny got face planted all at the same weights , and Floyd would do it to JMM today , tomorrow , any day ,at any weight and 130-135 he would KO JMM and Manny , at 147 he schools the mortal crap out of them .

You talk weight but you got no clue , its like I always say , all you see is numbers the real meaning of the numbers you have no clue , but your not alone lots of kid fans got suckered into Mannys BS , but karma dont get suckered .
Sorry but it appears that YOU have no clue on how this all works.

I will explain it to you.

In boxing there is something called weight divisions. It does NOT matter what you weigh on fight night. It matters what you weigh when you are weighed officially on the scales. Your hero Floyd, who you say is so small, couldn't or wouldn't come down to 144. So that gave him an extra advantage that was against the initial contracted weight and against what Marquez was expecting to make it more of an even fight.

More importantly: Marquez, at the time, had NEVER fought a guy at 140 nor 147. Actually he had only fought 2 guys at 135. That kind of experience is crucial even more so when that guy is the #1 P4P. When you are used to hitting guys at 126 and 130 all your career and then try to do the same against a true WW, the WW can handle it much better. Similarly, when you are used to getting hit by a 126 and 130lb opponent all your career, then getting hit by a true WW is much much different.

Marquez looked slower and much smaller than Floyd. Now add the fact that Floyd's style is all wrong for Marquez, you have a cherry picked opponent of the best degree!

Floyd is a gym rat. He trains all year long so he can eat anything he wants and not bloat up like other WWs. That is what you are not getting my friend. If that same Floyd would be doing like some of those other guys, he would most probably be walking around at a higher weight.

Hopkins was the same at middleweight. He worked out throughout the year so it was easier to keep fighting at 160 but as you can see that he was WILLING to take on new challenges at higher weights.

It's funny that its so easy for other guys like Marquez, Cotto, Hopkins to move up and down but when we ask a 154 title holder to fight another 154 opponent, we get all these excuses just because his name is Floyd!

              Canelo wants this fight yesterday.

Mayweather like usual is the only one holding up the fight

Thanks to you fighting like a wimp last month, Canelo is suddenly this "elite" and "most avoided" fighter at 154.

How can Trout say that Canelo is "big", when Trout himself has fought at 168 in the beginning of his career.

Again, dude just needs to shut up. I dont wanna hear ANYTHING else from him.

He fought a Mexican, in TX, with 3 judges that he didn't approve of, in front of 38k fans, with no rematch clause, and in frontof a bunch of boxing Gods who wanna see Mayweather vs Canelo...and yet he still found a way to fight like a wimp.

                Just go away Trout...
Question for everyone... Does being popular make you worthy? If you're being unbiased and honest there are other fighters who are more worthy based on there resumes than Canelo. To me, he's only fought one true legitimate fight in his career and was his last fight. Guys like Alexander, Bradley, and others have faced better competition. Hell even Berto has fought better fighters(not saying he deserves a fight). Canelo is just popular.

How much did Margarito, Clottey, Cotto outweigh Manny? How much did Ortiz and Cotto outweigh Floyd?

Canelo will be in similar range as those other guys. In fact, it may be a detriment to Canelo if he comes in too high because that means that he can become much more weaker trying to make weight. That might be why Canelo has stamina issues. Or one of the factors that contribute to Canelo's issues.

Canelo may be wiser to train better and lose the weight better. This may in fact be an advantage for Floyd. Even Floyd says this in a recent interview

Nelo who comes to the ring rocking 170 plus pounds is too big to be fighting WWs....even if the WW is named Mayweather...nobody in their right mind should be dis*****g that

is Floyd BETTER than Nelo...**** yea, again, NOBODY in their right mind should be dis*****g that....dudes who say Floyd would lose due to him being the smaller dude and puncher would not feel comfortable if the fight was fought at 147 or 150....so when cats say Nelo is skilled enough to beat Floyd, don't buy that ****....age and size is what the majority is banking on...no skills!!....because if they were, it can be made at ANY weight in their eyes

Nelo should fight Ward if he wants to be the P4P king...not Mayweather...but hey...I guess desperation has really kicked in with the anti-Floyd crowd....those cats celebrate anything negative concerning Floyd...ANYTHING!!

I don't think Canelo will be at 154 much longer. He's huge there and his body is still growing.
