Yea but Floyd made him look so foolish, that it was quite apparent that no matter WHAT weight, Juan was just not good enough. Everyone Floyd fought, he humiliated. Juan is nothing special in that regard. The reason he lost was because of Floyd's otherworldy speed, defense, accuracy, and movement. And Pac fought him at the same weight, and got outboxed for 12 rounds, and KO'd the second time. Im not a Floyd fan, but NOTHING will make me forget what he did to Juan. That was my first time realizing how good Floyd was.

Jones 1993 win over B-Hop, some still rank it among his best victories even though neither guy had reached his prime yet.

Also Timothy Bradley's dominating display over Lamont Peterson says to me that he was a pretty great at 140.

And I think to some extent, Lennox Lewis's victory over Vitali makes him seem pretty great. He was flabby, out of shape, and on his way out of the sport and he encountered a guy who would become a beast and a long-reigning champ, and he survived an early onslaught and was coming on before getting the TKO win from the cut.

Because he was so dominant post Lennox Lewis, it enhanced Lewis' career because he was the last guy to beat him.

If Vitali ended up getting knocked out and losing after the Lewis fight that win would be insignificant. But Because he has dominated his era, it looks a lot better on Lennox. Then people can draw the conclusion that Lennox could have also dominated this era.

        Vitali enhanced Lennox Lewis' legacy.
when did that happen? he dominated his era? he never beat the best guy and he only has a couple wins over ranked guys. don't understand.

I think Vitali's win is an example of one that has got better over time but Vitali is not one of the best HW's of all time.

Calzaghe's close decision win over B-Hop also springs to mind, Chris John has a very close controversial decision win over Marquez which will stay on both records forever (also his loss to Norwood), Morales win over Pacquiao are some.

how about wins that seemed good at the time(to some idiots) but in retrospect were useless. i'll start...floyd-baldomir i admit i thought balfomir would reign as welterweight champ for 10+ years but floyd beat him somehow.

Calzaghe v Hopkins is the most significant I can think of. People wrote it off as Hopkins being old, then he went on an incredible run that is still going 6 years later.

Klitschko is one of Lewis' top 3 wins. No matter how you look at it. Especially since the Klitschko name is so big right now in the world. They are the 3rd highest paid boxers behind Floyd and Manny. Their name will go down in boxing history.

When you think of Lewis 3 wins that come to mind are Holyfield, Tyson and Klitschko.

The fact that Klitschko hasn't come close to losing and has wiped everyone out since the Lewis fight. It makes the win that much sweeter.

                  Tony Tucker: Broke, irrelevant

Ray Mercer: Broke, has a bunch of losses, also irrelevant.

Holyfield: I feel bad for him

McCall: Fighting bums and also broke and irrelevant.

Klitschko: Multi millionaires. HW kingpins. Have their own promotional company. Huge brand name. Sponsorship deals. Involved in Politics.

You can clearly see the impact of what beating a Klitschko has over the other guys I've named.

Cotto's win over Malignaggi has gotten better over time; plus it was a prime for prime, two undefeated chaps. If Paulie does the unthinkable and beats Broner...
