Wlad is always in good shape.

He has just looked a little more lean in the past, for example against Haye he was in tremendous condition.

Against speedsters like Ibragimov, Chambers, Haye he usually comes in a little lighter while in recent fights against guys his own size he has been closer to 250lbs Thompson, Wach, Pianeta. All by design.

It's not a stay busy fight, it's a "make some money off the clueless fans" fight. He could have been fighting Povetkin but requested it to be pushed back until the end of the year for this fight. A stay busy fight is when a bigger fight is not possible straight away and they take a lower ranked opponent to stay sharp. That wasn't the case here.

It was Wlad who delayed the Povetkin fight? I thought it was Povetkin or his camp?

I could say the EXACT same thing about half of Floyd's fights. Floyd-De La Hoya wasn't a "super fight", it was a "make some money off the clueless fans against an ATG with 10000000s of Mexican fans, the guy also has 4 losses, is well past his prime and fighting in 2007, 15+ years after he started his career"

Besides, what you're saying about Povetkin is simply not true and there WASN'T a bigger fight to take on May 4th. Povetkin also ducked Wlad for 2 years. I'm glad you feel the way you do about Povetkin though, that way when Wlad does beat the Olympic gold medalist, surely you'll give him credit and add it as a legit win on his résumé.
