So much for Geale fighting GGG, Quillin or Martinez.

As I understand it the B-sample has to be tested by the same laboratory that did the A-sample. Soliman had the B-sample tested somewhere else so I suspect that it's not good enough.

It seems like Geale is only interested in fighting other Aussie's

Soliman actually admitted he ingested the methylsynephrine (also called Oxilofrine, Hydroxyephrine, or Oxyephrine) so he still is guilty in that sense. I checked and it turns out methylsynephrine really isn't in the IBF rules even though it's banned by WADA.

No methylsynephrine or its other names in that list.

            The article says
“Scott Analytics reviewed the laboratory tests from both Germany and the United States, and concluded that testing under the compounds banned for use by the bout contract that Soliman-Sturm fight were all clear,” Stanley said.
So of course it's going to come out negative if they didn't test for the actual drug that he's guilty of.

I imagine the commission rules should take precedence over over the IBF rules as far as being banned in Germany goes. I guess the IBF could still let Soliman fight for its title in any other country if that country allows it, but since the fight took place under the German commission, it should stay as a No Contest in my opinion.

It would be ridiculous if a random private organization is able to allow two fighters to fight with steroids even though the local commission doesn't allow it. In this case, the IBF allowing methylsynephrine despite the commission rules is just as ridiculous. IBF needs to update their rules.

I wish Geale would stop holding that belt hostage racking up easy title defenses against old men in his hometown. The guys a joke.

Be snarky all you want, but there's a probably a lot more demand for Geale vs Soliman than Geale vs Golovkin/Quillin. And it's not as if the entire world wants to see Geale in the first place. He's feather fisted and pretty awkward to look at. He's the type of fighter only his home country could appreciate. I'm sure as hell not anxiously waiting to see his next fight and that has nothing to do with his opponents.

Sam Soliman has to be one of the worst boxers to fight at the championship level. His crude unorthodox style and feather fisted punching drain any excitement from a fight. The Sturm-Soliman was one of the worst mw clashes I've seen in some time.
