  • Comments Thread For: W. Klitschko Says He is Not Underestimating Pianeta

Mannheim, Germany – Undefeated challenger and cancer survivor Francesco Pianeta has vowed to shock undisputed world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko when the pair meet on Saturday night with the Ukrainian's four world titles on the line.

The 37-year-old Klitschko will defend his WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO belts in Mannheim, south-west Germany, against German-Italian Pianeta, from Gelsenkirchen, who survived testicular cancer three years ago and has an unblemished record of 28 wins and one draw.

Pianeta is going to be a punching bag who gets methodically drubbed for five rounds before getting stopped in the sixth of another boring fight. You heard it here first.

Did I not call this almost perfectly? People have to stop putting so much stock into big and undefeated. The guy fought nobody and it should have been obvious to anyone who knows boxing that this was going to be the only outcome.

I respect the effort, but a champion and all time great should be pushing to test himself against more talented fighters. These kinds of fights are ok on occasion for a champion, but 3 of his last 4 had no business in the ring with him or being unduly hyped. Wlad isn't losing anytime soon, but he should be looking for better fights than the Wach's and Pianeta's of the division. Jmo.

I agree. I hope he fights Povetkin, Fury and Pulev in his next three fights.
With Vitali retiring i think it will be more quality less quantity.

Hopefully Wilder, Stiverne or the likes can step up in the interim and become legit contenders while he's busy with those three names.
