Certinaly Froch has a better public image, and hes wise enough to know how to cultivate that now, so his success couldnt have come at a better time. Khan still comes over as boisterous and arrogant, although he basically says the same things - he simply hasn't worked out HOW to say things in public yet.
Haha, remember when Froch & Khan had that bit of beef between each other?

Khan claimed that Froch should have retired after losing to Kessler and should be putting up posters of him. How the tables have turned....Froch is now one of the most respected boxers on the planet, re-matching a fellow warrior in a battle that nearly everyone on NSB is looking forward to watching.

Khan is....well Khan. Still refuses to attempt to avenge any defeats, and getting dropped off the likes of Julio Diaz.

Why do Brits have to like him?

If he wins a world title, it's not as if he's bring the title home. He's a US-based fighter. I don't see why the Brits should have any special hype for him like we once did, now that he's not really fighting in the country?

he's a douche. that's as simple as one can put it.

          he's a self-righteous and deluded, personality-less, douche.

          k?

In America (and other countries) if your born there and represent your country, they embrace you and support you as an American. In the UK this isn't the same, the white underclass are much less off than Asian and other ethic groups which is partly down to their lack of qualification and the will to suceed.

When they see folks like Amir Khan, they see his success as a reminder of their lack of success and the jealousy creates bitterness and racism towards him.

Don't get me wrong there's exceptions and some people value his contributions to the sport, charity and to the country but many don't.

The divide is getting worse as unemployment in white underclass areas is getting worse so expect the animosity and racism to continue.

We rarely see such views from educated white Brits and the middle class who see past his colour and ethnicity.

Amir doesn't help himself at times but he doesnt deserve the racist behaviour which is directed towards him. He's a good kid but there's no pleasing some folk.

I've seen some footage of Khan in an open workout in a UK mall or something promoting one of his fights. I didn't see any hate. Hate only exists in the internet. Not all fighters who have other descents become popular automatically in the country where they live. There's Ortiz, Guerrero, Donaire, etc.

I'm sure there's some racism directed towards him, but the main reason he's disliked is because he is not remotely likable.

Arrogance isn't really a problem, once you can sugarcoat it with some personality or some humour. Then you call it charisma. Khan doesn't have charisma. He doesn't even have a cheap imitation version of it made in a Chinese workshop. He is a charisma free zone.

And someone who's extremely arrogant without having any charisma just gets annoying after a while. Especially if they're not even that good.

Prince Naz received a lot of racism, see his fight with Paul Ingle and what type of reception he got for reciting a prayer and the angry white crowd calling him a P"ak" even though he wasn't Pakistani, they were desperate and wanted to see him get knocked out

Even more angry when Naz knocked Ingle out

Khan isn't half as ****y as Naz nor is he in ur face, but its the same old racism from some when u scratch the surface

Prescott is the only who he quite clearly doesn't have any interest in fighting again.
