    Heavyweight Sergey Kalchugin will make pro debut on May 17 against Owen Beck

    On May 17 in Moscow, heavyweight Sergey Kalchugin will make his pro debut against former world title challenger Owen Beck (29-12, 20 KO).

    The main events that day will be Denis Lebedev vs. Guillermo Jones and Alexander Povetkin vs. Andrew Wawrzyk.

    He fought Rakhim Chakhkiev in the amateurs & Clemente Russo in WSB. Not sure why he isn't fighting at cruiserweight though as he'll be a very small HW! Not going off stats I'd guess he was around 5'11 & not a very lean 200lbs. He should fight at Cruiser.

    As shot as Beck is (think hes lost his last 7-8-9) this is a gutsy move to debut against a veteran like Beck though I don't think Becks come to win in a decade.

          He hasn't fought since. I don't know why.

          Roshnov is age 30, Kalchugin is age 25, Vladimir Goncharov is 27.

            He's 6' 4.5" same as Kubrat Pulev, who also fought at under 200 in the amateurs in his early 20s before moving up to super-heavyweight.
