  • So much for the 140 lb tournament

Goldenboy are a bunch of crooks. They promised a tournament with garcia/judah winner fighting the winner of peterson/matthyyse and the winner fighting khan. Now you got de la hoya and garcia making excuses and now khan trying to move up.

Fighters blame their promoters saying they fight who their promoters say so goldenboy should say no khan you can't move up your fighting in this tournament. We were all looking forward to it, but i guess it won't happen.... figures from goldenboy the queens of protecting their joke fighters

    I have a feeling we won't get Lucas/Peterson-Garcia next

the tournament was a good idea, but why was Zab even in it?
      they shoulda made Lucas-Garcia and Khan-Peterson 2
winners fight each other in lieu of any draws
not sure why GB is protecting Garcia like they are
Lucas has a good following going for him, why hold him back?
Garcia is just a punk with an annoying dad as his mouthpiece
having Khan be the prize when Garcia had beaten him was ******
the 141 thing for Lucas-Peterson is dumb too; can't lose 1 more lb?

I think we will. It will really legitimize whoever wins. The Kahn fight is just for an easy payday for the winner of Garcia-Lucas-Peterson. Its [he] really the reward for running the gauntlet. Whether the Kahn fights happen at 140 or 147 the results will be the same.

I think Oscar will give the fans that 140 superfight

Why winning the tournement gets a fight with biscuit chin is beyond me anyway he is so undeserving its unbelievable golden boy know he's big in england so he brings the uk audience but the majority of us hate him.

If golden boy want to maintain respect and keep up with the cards top rank has been putting out they really have no choice but to give us those fights. At 140 or 147 doesn't matter to me.

Whatever the case may be, I'm expecting Garcia to face a tough opponent in his next fight, and Broner to do the same after Malignaggi. I want to see Broner, Garcia get in on the Jr WW action, if not that then fight the winner of Lopez-Maidana, Alexander or give Thurman an opportunity. Far too many options at Golden Boy to be seeing any of the fighters I mentioned against soft touches. I don't care for Khan at the moment, the man is done in my opinion.

Peterson-Lucas-Garcia, a round robin between those three...whoever survives, they deserve a soft touch - a tune up

                That soft touch is Kahn

Your right the 140 tourney winner does deserve a tune up after going through such tough fights which we can assume will be wars. Golden boy can say goodbye to the uk audience after khan is forced into retirement. Lets hope anthony ogogo has a decent chin

What you said is true IMO, however it sounds ridiculous for them to infer Khan as the main prize. If anything, they should have offered up Broner as the final fight.
