Cotto pre-Margarito loss would have tore Floyd to shreds if that was to be the case...
BUT...
After typing that above sentence, I just realized that Floyd's best years were around when Cotto was at his peak too... Floyd moved way too fast back then.

War torn or not, Cotto still fought a great fight against Mayweather. It's a real shame he faded so badly in the championship rounds but it was still a great effort.
Floyd was obviously unhappy with how the fight went from his perspective but the way the he pulled it out in the late rounds and took over the fighti was still hugely impressive. A good night for the legacies of both guys I think.
