Wlad will end his career inside the top 10 ATg's. His brother will be outside the top 20. One will be considered an ATG, the other simply won't.

Cheating is a strong word.
He is referring to Wlad's habit of holding, which technically is a foul.
It's not exactly cheating, it's more a 'dirty way of fighting', comparable to using the elbow 'behind' a hook, head butting etc.
The referee can detract a point for excessive holding, not sure it's ever happened to Wlad though.Comment

"Concensus world champion" .. what does that mean?
TBRB... which Boxingscene recognises, doesn't recognise Wlad as the true champion of the division. He hasn't fought Vitali. We all know he won't fight him but that shouldn't be taken into account. H2H i'd favour Wlad over anyone but still it's unproven and so not objective.Comment

He actually think he has some ground when he says that too.
Dudes are obsessed with Wlad.Comment

and ooh look, those IBO ratings, a message from the IBO president... great!
I'm sure none of us have missed the nice IBO advertisement on the front of the website. It makes you wonder whether or not you are paid to add these IBO references in as if they mean anything.Comment

That's the proper way taller fighter fights smaller fighter. Lennox used to do that. It's Emanul's fingerprint.Cheating is a strong word.

Smaller fighter is fighting small against taller fighters. David was crouching down. I see that as equally dirty way of fighting but I won't say it's illegal.Comment

Very true....even though I am a bigger fan of Vitali's than Wlad's. Vitali being the more aggressive fighter who will mix it, if inclined. I've had both in my mythical ATG top 10 at various times (these lists always change, lol) although Wlad is a shoo-in really...as you say, he has a more impressive resume.Comment

Gamesmanship, not cheating.I don't know about you but i don't like cheats, not only that but his cheating is what makes his fights so boring, the stopping and starting because of the holding ruins the fight and illegally prevents his opponent from landing punches. I know most of you don't know that holding is illegal if done to gain an advantage, but it is. Fans of "boxing" are going to watch title fights even if they don't like the fighters, that's what sports fans do.
Many fighters hold, most get away with it, some don't. Some even headbutt on purpose, some use their elbows a lot, some spit their mouthguards out, others time waste in their corners, or their cornerman may leave the laces or tape loose on their gloves....who cares? It's a tactic & you play it till the referee warns, deducts points or disqualifies. You take any advantage you can get....within reason.
The only real cheats are those who tamper with their gloves/wraps, like Margacheato.Comment

If holding is cheating then Muhammad Ali is the ATG cheater. Are you calling Ali a cheater? Your words, not mineCheating is a strong word.
