A ww, training at 147 AS A WW, but coming in at 164, is NOT the same as a 54lber, training at 54, and coming in at 160lb, which is less than Ortiz. Cotto was about 168ld just, a few lbs more than Ortiz. He bulldozed through Mayweather, as Floyd slid backwards on his feet. Floyd was able to overpower Ortiz at time. If Canelo wanted, he could just walk through the punches, and end it in 2 or 3 rounds. We have weight classes for a reason, and Floyd, not even being able to make 54, weighing in at 150, then accidentally coming in at 148, would be in for a huge fight. Its astounding how some people dont understand weight classes. I think Ortiz weighed more than Martinez, when he came in at 54 fight. But Martinez, at his besyt, would fugg somebody up. If its the wrong person on the opposite side, and their too small, someone would get their chest punched in, skull cracked, or ribs broken.

a catchweight at 150 will make it fair for both

      same height
and not that far of weight difference
a natural 147 guy can go up to 154 max if he wants to

Other than punching power Canelo doesnt bring anything to the table. Floyd is superior to Canelo in every aspect of boxing.

He has the size and power , he dont have the skills , if they were same size Floyd schools him , 20 lbs is a lot to give a young healthy unbeaten fighter , to many disregard the weight like its nothing , its huge . , would Canelo go up to fight Sergio ? would Sergio go up to fight Ward , this is what your expecting from Floyd , its no walk in the park .
