Can Mayweather handle a 170+ Canelo at fight night??

I see this as a very good and winnable match-up for Floyd. First of all I think Floyd is just the better boxer and Canelo also fight in spurts and doesn't have the best stamina in the world. Floyd would defintely take advantage of that....but Canelo is a big boy. He came in at 172 against Trout.

Do you think Floyd can handle a boxer who will most likely step into the ring against him who weighs 170+?? Floyd always says ""In the end, skills pay the bills." but will the weight difference be a big factor in this match-up??

Uhhh yes? Defense is slower and punches usually are harder when gaining weight over night. The defense he needs. Canelo that is.

Floyd has incredible stamina but I believe over the course of 12 rounds, the heavier guy is going to wear him down. Also, not really knowing how Floyds legs are, I am not sure he'll be able to use movement to get away.

Canelo ballooning up to 170+ is closer to what he is comfortable wit so I don't see it hurting him.

Floyd would really have to frustrate him early or open a cut that bothers him.

Dont forget that canelo has power too! I just think that the shear size and power would be to much for lil mayweather to handle! The kid is just to big for him!

Ortiz was pretty close at 164, didn't seem to affect Floyd, don't see it bothering him against Ginger. Honestly I think Canelo ballooning to 170+ actually hurts him, his stamina in the Trout fight was crappy, there's no way he can gas out after 5 rounds against Floyd and win, regardless of weight.

Floyd will pick Canelo to pieces. If the kid worked on his conditioning and had more dimensions to him I'd give him a shot, if Floyd looks like crap in his next fight I will give Canelo a shot. But if Floyd is as he always is, nope, my money would go on Floyd.

No. I think he can potshot Canelo at long range, but it won't be enough. Floyd has the tools to give him a boxing lesson, but Canelo has enough power to break Floyd down and possibly stops him in the late rounds.

Canelo is levels above ortiz man. Canelo has the skills and size to beat floyd. I don`t see floyd taking that fight anyway. Floyd will fight Khan/Brook/Alexander next.
