but if this is true, does that give pac a free pass???
people are quick to judge pac on his CW and "weight tactics", so does this statement in BOLD justify it? sorry for bringing pac up, but when the weight issue arises, it seems appropriate to compare.

floyd gets the same benefit as pac, IMO, since they are/were the kings of the sport. they call the shots. their opponents signed the contract, so i find it annoying when the weight excuses surface post-fight.

back to floyd, i think he can make 154 easy... proof was his size compared to mosley and cotto... floyd looked physically stronger and bigger than both. i think the reduced speed is more of a reflection of his inactivity and age.
Floyd is a ww so of course he can make 154 easy. I think you mean he can fight at 154. I dont doubt that he could. My point is floyd will come in on fight night at 150-152. Canelo, Angulo, Trout and some other 154lbers come in north of 165. I doubt floyd or any fighter in floyd's position would put themselves in that position unless their is great financial gain.

Cotto did this with Trout assuming a win would get him more in a floyd rematch or a Canelo fight.

Its no different than anytime in the sports history. fighters tend to follow the money. Gong is just mad floyd is where the money is at.

so your complaint is floyd makes people fight at the weight floyd feels most comfortable rather than fight them at a higher or lower weight where the opponent would be most comfortable.

      so what?
Yeah, I don't understand why is there an issue? Plus, most of the top 140 fighters and down the line potential Floyd opponents will just naturally go up to WW anyway (with or without the Floyd fight). Garcia, Lucas, and Peterson.

I think showtime is losing money on this one. floyd hasn't done much media or marketing/promotion.

Basically, 60-65% of the people that watched the Mayweather thing on cbs have to buy the ppv and another 100k need to go to the movie theatre.

        I dont see it.

It is a case of him collecting a pay check, me watching the same old, and no point being proven.
Simple question. Who would u be happy seeing Floyd face?

last big showtime ppv was pac i think.... fact check.
And Arum lied bigtime about that fight, no way Mosley vs Pac sold that much.

Not when you're guaranteeing the fighter $30mil with ppv upside, not including everything else that has to be paid out.

The only thing ShowTime pays for on this is production costs. That does not cost millions of dollars. They aren't losing money on this. The whole idea is silly. Ppv fights pay for themselves and they have investors usually found by managers/promotional companies. Even if the fight doesn't sell crazy, it will make money. Why do u think fights like Jones/Hopkins were on ppv? Because that's the cheapest way to deal with them

ShowTime doesn't guarantee those purses. Gbp does. Its a ppv once again.
