Why doesnt Floyd fight at 140...he is a 'small WW' after all, isnt he?

My question is, why didn't the commission come together and make Floyd Vs Manny a mandatory...I understand that they normally held different titles, IE WBO and WBC, but the commission should have never let this kind of issue occur.

I dont know that he can make 140. I doubt he would go down to that weight though. Doesn't make much sense.

Right...so he is too small for LMW and too big for LWW, yet people have to move up or down to face him....

Because they'd relinquish their belts and lose a source of income. In the case of Pacquiao it'd probably be worse as Bob Arum has more fighters under his stable.

Yes. he walks around and fights at about the same weight. he is too small for aJMW that rehydrate to 171/172 lbs on fight night when he comes in at 150-152. he walks around at 150 its likely he cant get down to 140 without being his best on fight night.

why does it bother you that floyd keeps himself in shape and is a 147 lb fighter right now?

That is absolute horseshit and you must know it! I thought he was a 'small ww'.

I'm not one that argues that he is a small ww so fervently. Why does it matter what weight he fights at-in the other thread you said catchweights dont matter. so why are you complaining that people have to move up or down to fight floyd at 147?

Man you actually are upset that floyd keeps himself in shape.

You're are trying to say he can only fight at one weight because he keeps himself in shape. Wowser!
